Vehicle-level integration: Flexibility can talk directly to the car
Flexibility can integrate directly with a vehicle’s connected services (Vehicle API / telematics). With the driver’s consent, we read relevant vehicle status and use it to optimize charging—more precisely, more fairly, and with less manual work.
What does “talking to the car” mean?
When a car is connected through its manufacturer API/telematics, Flexibility can—subject to permissions— exchange information with the vehicle to improve charging decisions.
Typical signals we can read
- State of Charge (SoC) / battery level
- Plugged-in / charging / completed status
- Estimated range (where available)
- Departure time and target charge level (if provided)
Why it matters
More precise optimization
Instead of guessing based on energy delivered to the charger, Flexibility can optimize around the actual battery state—which improves outcomes when capacity is limited.
Better fairness in shared charging
In residential sites, vehicle data helps allocate limited power more intelligently—supporting fair distribution while staying within building limits.
Higher fleet readiness at lower cost
For fleets, vehicle-aware scheduling can prioritize the right vehicles at the right time, reducing energy cost and operational friction.
